Terms of Service

Maximus is an AI-assisted decision-support tool. You describe a real-world business situation, and Maximus returns a structured brief with a recommendation, key risks, and suggested next steps. Maximus is an informational tool only — see Section 6 below.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing purposes.
• Submit content you do not have the right to share or that contains personal data of others without authority.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Use the Service to generate content intended to harm, defame, harass, or discriminate against others.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission.

• The Service runs on a credit model: 1 credit = 1 decision run. Refinements may also consume credits as described in the app.
• Credits are sold in packs through our payments provider, Stripe. Pricing is shown at checkout.
• Credits do not expire while your account is active.
• Credits are non-transferable and have no monetary value outside the Service.
• Except where required by law, all sales are final and credits are non-refundable.
• We may change pricing or pack sizes prospectively. Existing credits will be honored.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant MaximusBrief a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We will not sell Your Content or use it to train public foundation models.

Outputs generated by Maximus are produced by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Maximus does not provide legal, financial, medical, accounting, tax, employment, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions and should consult qualified professionals before acting on any output.

The Service, including the Maximus name, logo, software, and designs, is owned by MaximusBrief and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

The Service relies on third-party providers (e.g., Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, AI model providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us, other users, or the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. PRECOGNITIVE LABS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRECOGNITIVE LABS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$100.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MaximusBrief from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
