Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how MaximusBrief (“MaximusBrief,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Maximus (the “Service”), available at this site and any related apps. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including via Google).
- Decision content: the prompts, business situations, documents, and refinements you submit so Maximus can produce a recommendation.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, credit balance, timestamps, and basic device/browser information.
- Payment information: processed by our payments provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we store transaction metadata such as amount, currency, pack, and a session identifier.
- Communications: messages you send to support and any feedback you provide.
2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To generate, deliver, and refine your decision briefs.
- To process payments and grant credits.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and updates.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
Maximus uses third-party AI model providers (such as Google and OpenAI, accessed through Lovable AI) to analyze the content you submit and produce recommendations. Your inputs are sent to these providers solely to generate your output. We do not authorize these providers to use your content to train their public foundation models.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers — hosting, database, authentication, payments, email, analytics, and AI infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Decision content may be retained to power your history, refinements, and usage analytics. You may request deletion of your account and associated content at any time (see Contact below).
6. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, role-based access, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us using the address below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.
